

Wait until it is downloaded and reload the program. What you should do now is make sure FL Studio 21 is closed. However, a lot of generators and effects will be completely broken as a lot of the ways the files are arranged are not the same and this method sloppily combines incompatible versions of FL Studio. Load FL Studio 21 and see how everything is mostly back to normal (as it was on your old program) once setting your default template back and checking out a few instruments. If you ever get confused on which is which while converting (21/20 or earlier) just use the back button on the toolbar in Finder and then go forward to where you were. Maneuver to the 'FL Studio 21' window and replace the files you just deleted with your customized Effects and Generators folders.

Now duplicate the 'Effects' and 'Generators' files from FL Studio 20. Bring the FL Studio 21 'Generators' and 'Effects' to the trash. If you happen to have any generators/effects from your old version of FL Studio 20 or earlier, duplicate them and put them in the Fruity folder in 'Plugins' in FL Studio 21 if they were not contained in Generators or Effects in FL Studio20<. Maneuver to the 'Plugins' ->'Fruity' folder Copy the files you need and bring them to the Templates folder in FL Studio 21. If you have created User templates and have a default project template you will find it in Templates, wherever you put your User templates.

Open the package contents in FL Studio 21 and go to the same place, but replace 'Patches' with the Patches you have duplicated from the earlier version of FL Studio. Go to 'Data' following this and duplicate the 'patches' folder on your existing FL app and now create a new Finder window.

Click resources as soon as you can see it. Second you should maneuver to applications right click your existing FL Studio app and open the package contents in FL Studio version 20 or earlier. The first step is downloading FL Studio 21. I would definitely at least try it if you already have FL Studio 21 downloaded on your PC though, although I'm pretty sure this video I've linked is a good solution for PC users. This guide worked for me, I recommend treating this install like an experiment and making sure to not drag any folders from/ alter your current FL Studio (pre 21) software file, always duplicate. This really has only been tested on my Mac running on Apple silicon, though I've downloaded Rosetta 2 through terminal on Mac so Intel software will work. Just adding this as a resource to anybody who's just downloaded FL Studio 21 and is struggling with adding their previous files or getting generators to work (for Mac specifically).
